Or caused by the side stand?

Mine is exactly the same and the dent aligns perfectly with the side stand when raised, possible to give it clearance. I don't think the side stand has caused it because the side stand stop seems to come into play before it hits the pipe.

This ^^^^
Someone has not fitted/removed the pannier frame correctly.

Ah, so the dent would be there by design?
I must say I never really paid close attention but did not really notice the stand hitting the exhaust pipe (this would be rather noisy).
I took the bike back to the workshop today and mention the exhaust, the technician did also suggest the mufflers may have been moved when the pannier frames were fitted.

So, I took the bike back to the dealership, the guys had a look but advised they could not put it back to correct way, they were worried something may break if they forced it back into place.
So she's still with an exhaust popping out more than the other.

The only thing likely to break is the exhaust clamp which typically fail after about 7 years anyway. The stock Honda clamps cost £25 each and are best replaced with a pair of
Mikalor 40-43 mm W4 Supra heavy-duty exhaust clamps
, also have to hand some
high temperature RTV silicone
.
I've a 10 year old granddaughter that could do it...
a) loosen clamp, remove nut/bolt, slip off silencer
b) check gasket, reposition and refit gasket as necessary using a high temperature RTV
c) refit silencer using a high temperature RTV, tighten silencer nut/bolt, tighten clamp

Told !
TBH, TheRenéLouis, if it was mine I'd do as suggested. Loosen it all off (taking off the silencer if needed), wiggling it all to sit right and refit it correctly. But it does rather depend if you are allowed out with spanners.

I did try a little while back (before it went back to the garage) to remove the bolt and clamp of the muffler, but when I re-fit the exhaust on the inside of the frame the hole on the support does not align with the the bolt. It seems the lower pipe got somehow bent at a wider angle.

So, had another look at this yesterday, and I ended up re-mounting that left muffler on the inside on the frame.
It seems the support on the muffler (where the bolt is attaching it to the bike) was bent which may be why the hole did not align properly with the frame. Little bit of work and it went went back (almost) perfectly.

Happy days. All we need now is the before and after images of a job well done and a poke in the eye for the dealer who most probably noticed exactly what the problem was but declined to mount the silencer in the correct position for fear of detaching the bracket from the silencer. Ever wondered why Main Dealers don't want to get involved with vehicles over 10 years old, well now you know.
