Combining Honda Top Box with Givi Panniers

Hi guys,

My Mk1 CBF1000 came with the Honda Top Box (grab rails still in place) and I would like to go for some Givi V35 Panniers. Do any members have a Honda Top Box/Givi Panniers set up?

Do you know if the Givi PL174 Pannier Rack would fit with the Honda Top Box Rack?

I don’t think they are compatible. I managed to fit a Givi topbox to Honda topbox rails by making up a plate that fits into the four bolt holes.

I was of the understanding that if you wanted Givi panniers you needed the Givi top box rack as an integral part.

Does anyone know if the 800 VFR panniers are compatible with the 2012 CBF 1000?

I've seen Mk1 CBF1000 with both Honda MFA801 top box rack and Givi PLXR174 removabe panniers mount installed at the same time. It looked kinda bolt on compatible.
