One option is fit better bulbs, such as Osram H7 Nightbreaker Laser (pure xenon gas) so brighter whiter light, or Nightbreaker Unlimited (xenon halogen gas mixture), or motorcycle specific Osram H7 Night Racer 110 bulbs (allegedly more vibration resistant). Personally, I've only used the Nightbreakers and had no trouble with them at all.

Also you can fit one of these modules so both bulbs are on all the time.
"The DoubleTronics Module provides 40% power to the high beam during normal (low beam) operation (providing more cager visibility),  then bumps it to 100% when high beam is selected".

i only fitted that doubletronics on mine , I also put a switch on the second light as I didn't like the load of having 2 lights coming on on start up and had to do a bit of headlight beam adjustment ,(https://images.weserv.nl/?url=i63.tinypic.com/6z30j5.jpg) (https://images.weserv.nl/?url=i65.tinypic.com/30w107n.jpg) (https://images.weserv.nl/?url=i64.tinypic.com/29h8xt.jpg)

Nice one budda.  :028:

These pics are from a few years ago, these were the bulbs used at the time, much better after the change.

I initially swapped the standard sidelight bulbs for Philips White Vision Xenon Effect W5W bulbs, and both the headlight bulbs for Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited H7 bulbs.

Pic 1 - In the first photo the sidelight bulb on the left is the original standard one, with the bulbs on the right being the replacements mentioned above.

Pic 2 - I then fitted the doubletronics headlight module, so with the replacement bulbs fitted and all bulbs on giving a much whiter & brighter light, the front end is much improved on the standard.

Pic 3 - The same Nightbreaker bulbs, but now with T10 led sidelight bulbs.

Do you have a link for the T10's and keep us updated on how they last. Mine pictured below failed within a month (the DRL's have been good for the past two years).

These ones here. Had to change one after about a year as it failed, otherwise fine. A mate of mine has same bulbs and one of his started flickering after a few weeks so binned it for another and has been fine since. Given they are so cheap I'd expect the odd dodgy one.

Both fit no probs, I've got the tens in currently.
Personal preference I guess.

Apparently that link is not working, so here’s another:

back to Russ's question I've fitted a pair of DRL's 2 years back and a HID kit in my dipped beam 4 years back and its all still good, note had to wire in an on/off switch for the HID kit to prevent the ballast locking out on low voltage. This combination lights up the darkest of country lanes. Links below to similar kit

I sent an inquiry to DoubleTronics, and they confirmed their unit will work with LED headlamps.  They mentioned the Kawi on their home page has the two LED headlamps.

The problem with the Double Tronics system and having both the dipped and main beam headlamps on is that you'll dazzle oncoming traffic. Even with reduced power to the main beam the projector lens does just that projects the beam. Here in the UK if headlamp aim falls outside the set limits its classed as a major fault and MOT failure.

Agree, Art.  The high beam will be just that even at reduced power... likely more palatable with halogens, but the LED's will be over the top.  Given the price of the unit also, I have decided there is something to be said for the one headlight look, LOL.  H7 LED's on order.........
