Post by: ToonCBF on 11 June, 2019, 02:23:46 PM
Hi, I collect my 2010 CBF1000 on the 14th June. Previous bikes have been Triumph Sprint RS 955i, CBR600F2, Kawasaki ZX7r and various imported 400cc crotch rockets.....

Looking forward to some comfort and fun!!!!

Congratulations! I think you'll find it a dependable machine with enough power to do whatever you wish.

It looks as if you've got modified handlebars, complete with wind deflectors, am I right?

Oh and enjoy!

Looks in good nick. Enjoy. I have a 3 year old CBF, I have just paid the balance off today, so it's all mine now. That is how much I enjoy it. I looked at trade in options, and couldn't find anything suitable to replace it with. Don't go much on adventure bikes, Honda have no alternative that I liked the look of, or with ridiculously small passenger seats (Neo Sports CB1000R), alternatives makes either too expensive, or no improvement over the CBF1000.

I do like the black! Is it original? I see, apart from the tank logos there's no badges except on the fairing. I also like the wheels in black. Much easier to hide the road crud, brake powder and chain oil between washes. Which of course I do after every ride.

But it does look very nice.

So, I have ridden it quite a bit now and I bloody love it!! Quick in the mid range, predictable handling and no pressure on my wrists (has got some very pretty bar risers). Going to stick a pair of Black Widow cans on it and it will be a perfect steed for a good few years!!

Thanks for all the welcome comments, great to feel a part of a "Squad"

I fitted 400mm Black Widow ovals with the carbon tip a couple of weeks ago. Really pleased with them. Excellent quality, everything lined up to fit. A lovely deep burble, so pleased with them.

The Carbon tipped look fantastic on your Silver bike!!!! I was looking at the 350's but on seeing yours I think the 400's look more in keeping with the bike!

Hi. I just bought "Francesca Fiore", named after one of my favorite Kids in the Hall characters (a classic comedy show in CAN from the 90's), and due to the fact she's made in Italia. We're expecting ~100 mm of rain here this weekend before it's all over, so I look forward to pulling some wrenches in the garage on my new baby. I hope to adjust the seat height, windshield, and make sure the bars are in the standard position. I'm 175 cm tall, so I want to see how it feels with everything as tall as they'll go. I found instructions on all three on this forum, so thanks!
Herb

P.S. Here's an advert for Francesca's new perfume:
