Title: LED COB Head light and side light upgrade. Plug and play type
Post by: kimbo8 on 19 December, 2018, 07:31:05 PM
Hi All,

Just a quick one, as I see there are lots of post about LED conversions, I found some and installed COB LEDs to my dip lights and side lights to my CBF1000 2006

They were simple plug and play, done them about 2 weeks and commute every day, no problems so far.

Bought them off Ebay.

Nice one. How much were they?

Dip lights 12.09

Side lights 2.49

Not sure how long they will last, so install them at your own risk.

But all OK at the moment for me, and people tend to see me more as I approach from behind and move to the side for me to pass so all good  :046:

cob is outdated very hor running leds
dont get a led with dissipating fins or fans.

try getting csp leds or newer zes leds

google this and research more. you ll be happier down the road

csp led vs zes led

i work with leds all day . would recommend you get osram's new h7 leds if you have the money or Norma h7 leds (german manufacturer also)

Cheers thanks for the info, have googled the CSP LEDs and they do sound very good, will change to them when the current COB LED expire, also googled COB LEDs heat, and it generate about half of the incandescent bulb it replaced, so all good.   :028:

But definitely will get CSP LED next if they do a direct plug and play version.
