Title: How do I check if stator has been changed?
Post by: 1madboiler on 01 August, 2013, 01:37:03 PM
Been reading about all of the stator issues and i am wondering if there is any way I can check if the job has been done? I have had the bike for 3 months and now and done 3000 miles. I have a service history but theres no mention in there of warranty work. the bike was registered on 28-01-2008 so I am still withing the warranty period. Does anyone think I am being paranoid or should I get this checked out? :465:

Until it goes or shows warning signs Honda will not be interested - the do not do prophylaxis only fix it after its broken.    It might be that a Honda dealer can check from the master database but I doubt it.

They should be able to. You'll need to call them. Have your registration and/or VIN to hand.
