HIGHEST MILEAGE

I bought my '06 CBF1000 in 2007. It had then 9705 km on clock.
Now it is 198 300 km. So 200k is near :).

Its a lot of kilometers but without any history its also a lot of...

Would be interesting to hear of valve clearance results and any maintenance and repairs outside of the Honda service schedule excluding the likes of brake pads, tyres, chains, sprockets and batteries which are well enough documented elsewhere on the site.

This is the topic, so I answered according to question :)

I am doing a review of my bike on my YouTube channel, but it is in polish language...

Short summary:
1. Alternator failure at 86000km,
2. Short circuit in blinker line at 98000km,
3. Sonda Lambda (O2 sensor) failure at 99000km (bike worked properly, only bigger fuel consumption),
4. Fuel pump failure at 129000km (only viton rubber in pump detoriated).
5. HISS antena wires failure at 140000km (replaced only wires)

Thats all.
Cluth still not replaced.
Timing chain replaced at 192000km (still was quiet, but I was scared to use it longer).
Water cooler replaced at 53000km after colision with a deer.
Rear shock absorber still not replaced and working fine.
Front wheel bearings still not replaced and are ok.
Oil usage no more than 1l / 12000km.

Valve clearances was checked every 24000km.
They needed correction at 48000km, 96000km, 120000km, 192000km.

I'm the owner of a 2008 MK1 with just over 80k miles on the clock, but bought it with 79k on it - it had done a steady 10k per year without fail since 2008 according to the MOT records. I will have a dig through the service record and see what's needed doing over the years, although the service history generally indicates it's been well looked after mechanically for most of its life.

Since I've owned it I've had to fix the stator/alternator, and some clown in a truck of some sort manage to reverse into it while parked on the pavement next to the A4 (that's my best guess from the weird impact damage the bike had suffered), so I've had to replace some front fairing. Other than that it's always been smooth, although eats up more petrol than I'd like (there are a few I've learned from this forum that I'm going to try out for this issue).

Cosmetically it's rough, but nothing structural and no excessive rust or anything, just small scratches accrued over the miles. The rear suspension also feels naff to me, but have nothing to compare it to, I will most likely replace it shortly. There are quite a few rattles in and around the seat, which again I want to fix shortly.

I am keen to try and get it above 100k at least in my ownership.

If I get the time to look through the service records I'll post the results here. I am genuinely surprised there aren't more high mileage reports on this thread!

I'm at 50k kms. Been a solid mount for me for the past 4 years. Top end has been inspected at 24k and I'm currently adjusting a few tight valves at 50k. Last year was a bad year for it. I lost a stator, fuel filter, and did fork seals and oil. I blew one seal when the road took a surprising dip and I caught air. Chain was replaced year before. Bike has taken me all over and never left me stranded. This bike will definitely be around for another 50k.

Small update:
My CBF1000 have now 239000km.
Water pump started squeaking during work around 221000km so I repaced it fo used pump. I do not know, what was wrong with my pump, as it was clean inside and didn't find any problem with it.
Rear wheel bearings disintegrated around the same mileage.
Apart of that all seem to be fine with the bike.
Tough beast!
