My 2009 model, 76K and counting, she still runs beautifully and she has only let me down once with the usual stator problem..... :152:

At last and thanks for posting bobbo123 your 75,000+ miler passes for high mileage in my book. Also of interest with such mileage on a CBF 1000  would be to know if the valve clearances have ever been checked? If so at what mileages and what clearances, if any, were found to be outside of Honda specification?.

Another proper high mileage report, we assume your colleagues 140,000 miles is on a SC64, yours is an SC58. They're much the same but a little different on the emissions front, the SC58 is Euro 3 and the SC64 is Euro 4.

Any chance of putting some meat on the bones here. We want to know the likes of at what mileages the valve clearances were checked and what clearances, if any, were found to be outside of Honda specifications. Also any other repairs or work that was done other than the usual maintenance items.

Approaching 50k miles on mine, planning on doing another 50.

There’s loads of 1litre petrol cars for sale on eBay that are 20 to 30 years old and covered on average anywhere between 100 to 150k miles. They’re also pulling a ton (1000kg) of weight around and more than likely do more stopping and starting than a bike because we can filter through the traffic.

     :080:

Found a Trotters Independent Trading Reliant Rialto on eBay: 1984, 0.8l, 436kg, 126636 miles. Current bid £3000.

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Reliant-Rialto-estate/224189728103?hash=item3432bfc567:g:EkYAAOSwYb5fezew

I’d say the frame will rust and fail the MOT before the engine packs up.
