Tan Hill Inn

Hi all CBFers,

Just had a great 8 nights....Lands End to John OG and superb roads in Scotland, Northumbria and  N Yorks, BUT !!!!!!

Never ever go to to Tan Hill Inn and expect decent food!!!!!  As the highest inn in England, it is a good place to get to and ride away from, and I expect the beer would be ok, but the lunchtime food on Monday 20th July was DIRE! very long wait and poor value.

Much better to go a bit further to Reeth or Barnard Castle and get a decent meal AND a warm welcome.
