I,ve just returned from a 2week tour in Lesvos Island in Greece (I am Greek). I summed up 1600km around the island roads, and the fuel consuption was 5,8lt/100km.
Have in mind that there are mo highways on the island. I,ve even done about 100 km on dirt roads (in good condiron) no problem witj the CBF.
I'll post photos sometime this week.

Depends on how you drive it

I get that too when I drive semi hard.

Not sure what mine is but it does'nt seem too good and it seems less than my car !

Think its frequent use of that "midrange"  ;D that drops it  :-\

Yes, I think it's fair to say that I could improve my economy by using the handle on the right a little less enthusiastically. but since that handle is the main reason I even own a bike, I can't see it happening :)

Ahaaaaa!!!  I used an online-convertor.  Just going back to it I can see that it works 4.84 Litres out at 1.28 US gallons when I wanted 1.06 UK gallons  :D

That changes things....

I'm still getting 16km/litre but in UKG that works out 45 miles/gallon.

Well spotted Trumpet  :152:

I don't like to ride semi hard as I have enough trouble concentrating on controlling the bike!!

Anyway... moving on... I'm getting a regular 45 mpg commuting - not much opportunity to really open it up.

Went travelling for a week in France with a couple of mates, one on a Fazer 1000, one on a kwaka ER6. The Kwaka of course used much less fuel, when topping up I always put a few euros more in than the Fazer, a total 14 euros more over the week so although too lazy to bother with the exact figures the fazer is more economical over the same distance and speeds. Mines the better bike though and the others agree  ;D
