Hi all just joined to hopefully get some answers. My CBF developed and Idling problem last week, it wont idle at all now even though it runs ok when throttle is open. I have checked the manual and it is pointing me to the IACV may blocked seized or just faulty. My question is can the throttle body and breather be removed without dropping the engine? I have removed the fuel tank and disconnected the harness as per the manual but there doesnt seem to be any room to pop the throttle body off and slide out. Any advice will be gratefully received.

It looks like I have solved the problem and answered my own question. I had conceded to the possibility that I may need to remove the engine and so started to look it up in the manual. The manual said the exhaust, throttle body and breather box, left rear cowl and clutch slave cylinder should be removed first so The answer is NO, it is not required to drop the engine. I think because the throttle body insulators have been on for so long the where stuck. A gentle prybar later they just popped off.

Doesn't it make a welcome change when the solution is straightforward!
Why doesn't this happen to me !
    Glad you're sorted.
