    Hi Andy
    I lived in Llantwit major for years, in the days when two wheel services and les griffiths motors were either side of the lights, 70's /80's. The clock thing is a weird one, iv'e never seen any posts like that in 9 years with my cbf. does the time setting button work ok? are there any other electrical gremlins? Let us know what the dealer finds, it's a new one on me (but then so are plenty of other things!).Would love to know.

     :405:

    Assuming everything else electrical is functioning as it should first off I'd check for a poor, dirty or corroded electrical connection. Check the wiring circuit:

    The red/green always live cable from the 10A 'TURN CLOCK ODDOMETER' fuse to pin 10 of the combination meter;
    The green/white ground cable from pin 1 of the combination meter to chassis ground via the pilot box, a 12 pin black connector, the loom and chassis ground.

    Although with an electrical circuit fault I'd expect the clock to reset to 00:00 not 01:00 therefore I wouldn't rule out a printed circuit board fault inside the combination meter. If you’re allowed spanners and you haven't already, you may want to download the Honda Workshop and Owners Manuals here and there's a full colour wiring diagram here

    In the meantime enjoy the 20's. I was in Wales last week photographing a few castles and making good progress between Conwy, Beaumaris, Rhayader, Roch, Cardigan, Pembroke and Kidwelly. Two days, nine castles and 906 miles what's not to like? Oh yes, the fecking 20's

    so far after taking the bike to the dealer all i know is that the live wire to the clock from the loom is reading a high resistance. they are guessing that water has somehow got in to the wire somewhere in the loom.... bike is going back in on tuesday i'll have a courtesy bike until the problem is found and solved

    finally got my bike back off the dealer.... there was a fault in the clock, my whole instrument panel was sent off to a company to repair. the dealer found that the clock was getting power but was losing a power feed in the instrument panel... all working now...

    Happy days

    To expand the knowledge base here do you know the details of the company that repaired the instrument panel?
