    Now listed on eBay.
Will let it run to end of auction. No more offers considered on this forum from now.

Cancelled on eBay due to a bunch of timewasters emailing pathetic offers.
Now with new MOT from yesterday. No advisories
Open to an  offer above 950 quid. No personal delivery offered now. No insurance.

Unfortunately the market forces you are facing here are the value of the motorcycle which in reality is whatever the market is willing to bear plus the cost of delivery/collection to the buyer. You may need to lower your expectations, I see several similar CBF 1000's have sold on eBay for less than £800 in the last 4 weeks. Although your biggest hurdle here will be the fact that your CBF 1000 is a Category S (S for structural) insurance write off offered in a private sale which obviously doesn't have the safe guards that would be offered by a trader.

I would have preferred you had PM'd me these comments.  Hey ho! But for the record....

On a motorcycle, front forks come under structural. Prior to my ownership, this bike was involved in a head on collision and went down on it's right hand side.

The insurance assessor priced the repairs using new and original Honda parts. Genuine fairing and and pair of Honda forks for starters. Maybe a new wheel and headlamp. It will easily surpass 50% of vehicle value once labour and the dreaded 20% VAT is included. Plus the fairing may only come in base coat and needs spraying too?

Once satisfactorily repaired the vehicle is either checked by an engineer or at a MOT station before the V5 is released by DVLA with Cat details recorded on the document.

All markets fluctuate. At the last check there were only two CBF'S on eBay below my starting price. So, l believe it is priced fairly. I am also including parts valued over £100 by the way. Plus now a new MOT.

As l initially listed. A winter hack to preserve your pride and joy from the ravages of the coming winter.

Ive ridden this ( twice montly, a 140 miles trip to east London and home again) bike for nearly four years without issue apart from the usual stator failure.

What's not to like for under a grand?
