Hello all. Greetings from Nova Scotia. I live in Cape Breton, right on the world famous Cabot Trail. I just bought a 2009 CBF1000A in maroon locally. There are rare in Canada and were never sold elsewhere in North America. Wasn't my first choice, but it was inexpensive and in very good condition. One ride has made me a believer. What a great bike! If anyone ends up around here to ride the Cabot trail let me know and you can crash in my spare room.

    I also have a 2001 Triumph Thunderbird 900

    Previous Bikes
    2001 Triumph TT600
    2001 Honda RC51
    1992 Suzuki GSX1100F Katana
1999 Honda Rebel 250 (in China)
2005 Suzuki Windstorm 150 (in China)
    1997 Yamaha TRX850 (in Australia)
    1998 Suzuki GSX750F (in Australia)
    2003 Kawasaki ZX9R
    2004 Kawasaki ZX10R
    2004 Suzuki DL650 Vstrom
    1979 Yamaha XS650

What you have there is a SC58 CBF1000 A-9 a much over looked motorcycle in the sports tourer class. inexpensive to acquire, inexpensive to run and inexpensive on maintenance.

If you're allowed spanners a big plus for me is the ease in which the CBF1000's can be serviced and maintained at home, by the home mechanic, without the need of any special tools or diagnostic equipment. If you haven't already you can download the Honda Workshop and Owners Manuals here.

Hello, MrHoof! I was on the Cabot trail last summer on my trip out from BC. I Grew up south of Halifax bitd and rode the Cabot trail back then probably a dozen times. Felt good to be back home but out west is my home now. You're so lucky to have that magical road out your back door!
