Hello everyone,

I recently purchased my first bike. It is a 'golden' Honda CBF1000A (2008) with 53000 km. During my lessons i drove with a MT07 and a XJ6, i liked the 4-cilinder XJ6 above the MT07, but not the naked concept. The CBF is in my opinion easy and fun to drive, reliable, gives some protection against wind on the highway, i like the looks (a bit old school and with double exhausts). I have chosen the 1000 above the 600 because i want some power for fun and easy riding.

What you have there is a SC58 CBF1000-A9 an excellent choice for a Sports Tourer that ticks many boxes in its class, you'll find it does all you want of it and then some. Mine is a reluctant keeper because I can't decide on what to replace it with, it's that good all round, and a big plus for me is the ease in which it can be serviced and maintained at home, by the home mechanic without the need of any special tools or diagnostic equipment. If you’re allowed spanners and you haven't already, you may want to download the Honda Workshop and Owners Manuals here.
