On my way home Sunday I met a pair of police men  ,(well "say met") I was following a VFR at a pedestrian pace when the police man waved him down  although I think he was a bit surprised that I pulled in as well, I think he expected me to breeze past. :001:  a quick walk round the bikes Standard pipes, legal plate and clear visors all good . and a cheerful just keep the speed down and off you go.
off went the VFR  I stayed to chat to the police .aren't you with him then? No I'm was only turning left 100 yards down the road to home .I joking said its like the TT up here on Sundays " that's why we are here Visible policing" , I hope they managed to persuaded someone home safe.

Nice Policeman do not pull motorists over just for being motorcyclist, especially when they're progressing at a pedestrian pace! I'd politely challenge the stop, firm but fair.

    Nice anecdote.
I try to know all the police reps in my (small) town by their first names and never miss waiving at them when driving by. You never know when you might need them to recognize you as a decent chap  :038:
