    Neutral indicator not comming on

    Hi there,

After taking my 2011 CBF 1000 FA out of winter storage my neutral indicator is no longer coming on. I also tried two times where the bike wouldn't start (it didn't even go through the initiation sequence, when you turn the engine stop to "run") but no further problems with that (yet).
I have tested the wire to and from the lamp and it seems to have continuity.
I'm having a hard time finding troubleshooting in the workshop manual directly related to this problem - and I'm not really in the mood for taking the engine out of the chassis to check the neutral switch... At least before trying anything else. Has anyone tried something similar?

    Thanks!

just spray the neutral switch well with wd40 or contact spray.....so that it soaks in....
tap it a couple of times with a screwdriver.....

that's how it worked for me........

No need to take the engine out to test the neutral switch just RTFM and test it via the connector under the fuel tank.

If you’re allowed spanners and you haven't already you may want to download the Honda Workshop and Owners Manuals here.

Top tip - You'll find the information you seek in the 'Lights, Meters and Switches' section  :169:
