    Probably dumb headlight question

Hiya guys, hopefully someone will put me right on this quickly. My front right headlight only works on High Beam. It's my feeling that this is by design. Yet I've never had a bike where this is the case before, although I'm lead to believe that it isn't uncommon these days.
For the life of me I can't see anywhere where they tell you that while having twin headlights, you will only be using one of them, and only need one of them.
Thanks in advance for putting an idiot straight.

Thanks, much appreciated. I just wasn't able to find it written down anywhere. Minor panic over now. ;)

    Almost...

Left lamp is dipped beam, right lamp is main beam. In dipped beam mode the dipped beam and position lamps illuminate, switch to main beam and the main beam comes on too, giving dipped beam, main beam and position lamps. Both bulbs are H7's the difference being the main beam lens is a projector, long throw, lens. Some talk of electrickery kits that have the main beam come on with reduced power on dipped beam and full power on main beam but because of the main beam projector lens that would be illegal here in Europe and probably the rest of the world too.

I changed the dipped beam H7 halogen bulb in mine for an H7 HID bulb and ballast.

Never noticed there was no mention of the dip/main beam function in either the Owners Manual of the Workshop Manual.

I did some circuit diagrams here which may help but note FUSE F is shown incorrectly as 20A fuse when it should be 10A fuse
