Motorcycling in Northern Ireland

Just announced this morning all motorcycling sport including the North West 200
has been cancelled.

Due to the increasing cost of public liability insurance apparently. The amount of 400K+ was unsustainable and three times that of previous years.

Its a very well founded rumour that the NW 200 may be saved. 
This is from a really good source.

This lack of insurance is also going to hit the trials and short circuits. 

Cost of insurance is £400000,  with excess of £300000 for injury and
£100000 property claim.
