    Just announced this morning all motorcycling sport including the North West 200
    has been cancelled.

    Due to the increasing cost of public liability insurance apparently. The amount of 400K+ was unsustainable and three times that of previous years.  :006:

    Its a very well founded rumour that the NW 200 may be saved. 
    This is from a really good source.

    This lack of insurance is also going to hit the trials and short circuits. 

    Cost of insurance is £400000,  with excess of £300000 for injury and
    £100000 property claim.
