so... Hello!

just purchased a 2012 Honda CBF1000F. No Honda panniers, no ABS.
47 thousand km (allegedly, I trust it to be true, but I don't have a service record, unfortunately).
I was born in Argentina 36 years ago, and been living in Prague for the last 2. Now that I've gotten my License (from scratch, since I couldn't exchange mine for the local one)...
I was about to buy a Vstrom650, because I needed something reliable that could take 2 people on longer journeys, but I don't have a lot of money.
Luckily... i came across this beauty. 2K dollars less, with an inline 4 (which is what I really wanted) and really comfortable for 2. I am 2 meters tall and I'm surprised by how comfortable this thing is!
Didn't even know it existed, in Argentina we only had older models like the cb900F from the eighties or just the recent cb500
and, although it's pretty powerful, it is amazingly progressive and forgiving. I find it really relaxing that it's so easy to put the power down and cruise around.
I've always been a fan of the FZ6 and FZ1 models from Yamaha... but with my height, they are not that enjoyable after a few hours.
If I could ask for 2 things... it would be a shaft drive and ABS, but I guess I should have spent almost twice as much to get an FJR1300 or whatever.
And somehow I imagine that the Honda is a bit more of an allrounder, being probably just a bit lighter on her toes. But I've never tried the 1300 from Yamaha.
Anyway. I wonder if anybody reads this...
See you around!
