Surging and lack of power / RPMs

Hello - new to this forum. I recently purchased a 2011 CBF 1000 and so far, really enjoy it. I use it as an all-rounder, commuting to work and fun rides on the weekends. I have started to notice a surging sensation at around 3500 RPM. This has become more pronounced and is now accompanied by a sensation of no power in 1st and 2nd. It feels like the engine is being held back. I see a few others have had similar issues, but I haven't been able to find a solution on the forum. I have tried adding a fuel system cleaner and injection cleaner additives, but they don't seem to have helped. I have a list of things to look at:
    1) cylinders firing
    2) TPS
    3) ECU
    4) Exhaust (it has a Leo Vince on it) I have the stock
    5) injectors
    6) fuel and air filters

Just wondering if anyone has had similar issue and found a fix. I love the bike (telepathic handling) but feel I'm not getting everything out of it.
    Thanks

Don't over think this and don't assume that any cure others have had for similar synptoms will cure your symptoms, diagnostics doesn't work like that  :110:

A logical diagnostic process is the only way forward :028:

Assuming you're allowed spanners my first port of call would be to check and read any current or stored Diagnostic Trouble Codes. After that, if you haven't already, you may want to download the Honda Workshop and Owners Manuals here. The sections on PGM-FI and Troubleshooting should be of particular interest.
