    That is not Givi/Kappa kit

The Honda racks and pannier rails are not compatible with the Givi/Kappa racks and rails or any other brand of racks and rails.

The Givi 260FZ rack mounts on the grab rails and the side cowl hook bolt.
The Givi PLX174 pannier frames mount on the same side cowl hook bolt, the exhaust muffler hook bolt and the 260FZ rack frame support bracket. You can't fit the Givi/Kappa pannier frames without the Givi/Kappa rack.

The PLXR174 is designed to be fit without the givi 260FZ though and connects to the grab rail. It certainly looks like the one in the photo (see close up attachments). I'm just not sure if the honda rack gets in the way of the little bracket that attaches to the grab rails. I have decided to just order it and see if it fits. If it doesn't it should be pretty easy to fabricate something to make it fit 👍

My bad. I never realised that the Givi PLX174 pannier rails could be fitted without the Givi 260FZ rack, you just need to order an extra fitting kit that includes the brackets that attach to the grab handles, a bit obvious really.

It appears the PLXR174 already comes with that extra piece, and I believe it is the quick release rack that allows you to remove it very quickly when you don't need it.

The PLX174 has an optional kit, with the imaginative name PLX174KIT, which allows mounting to the grab rail without needing the 260FZ rack. The PLX174 + PLX174KIT is basically the same as the PLXR174 (no extra kit needed, as it is not intended to mount to the 260FZ, I assume because the quick release bolts/mechanism isn't compatible with the 260FZ) without being quick release.

I still don't know for sure if it will just fit onto the honda OEM top box rack without modifying anything, but I will let you all know when I get it (it's on the way from Italy). It looks like it does fit from that one example picture, but that is literally the only picture I have seen with that combination. Will keep you all posted, and if it does fit I'll detail how I did it if anything has to be modified etc.

Yes and no. It did fit, but I did have to make cuts in the rubber to make it fit. If you are ok with cutting the rubber up then it will definitely fit. I used a Stanley knife to cut it, but there might be better ways. MIGHT have also added an extra spacer where it hooks onto the honda rack - I can't remember if I needed to do that in the end or if it fit without. Those can be picked up real cheap or just a few washers should do the trick if you find you need any.

Thanks for the reminder to post the result as it drove me crazy trying to find out if it can fit!! At least now anyone else who has the same predicament will have the clear answer. Everyone will tell you that it won't fit, and if it wasn't for that one random image I saw I wouldn't have even tried.

Please note - it was the PLXR174 kit that I used. The PLX174 + PLX174KIT should also fit.
