    Too little information.

If you're talking about a SC58 CBF1000 then the Givi and Kappa racks and frames for the CBF500, CBF600 and CBF 1000 are all compatible, the SC64 facelift CBF1000 kit is different.

If I could hop on this thread I've been looking at the Givi T218 racks to fit some Lomo saddlebags for longer trips. A few websites say these will fit the CBF1000 but instructions are all for the 500/600 models. Art based on your comment am I right to assume things should be compatible across the whole CBF range other than the Mk2 1000? Thanks!

The mounting points (exhaust hanger, pillion grab rail and side cowl bolt) for the pannier rails and rack are all arranged the same on the CBF 500, 600 and 1000. I believe the only difference is the 500 and 600 require an extra spacer for the rack because the rear sub frame is narrower, I could be wrong but the Givi fitting kits include all the fasteners required for all three models.

Same applies to the Givi T218 saddle bag rails except they only mount on the pillion grab rail and side cowl bolt and the extra spacer isn't required. The T218 instructions only show them for the CBF600/N and CBF500 however Givi list them for the CBF1000 here

I happen to work near Lomo HQ and they have some panniers in stock so I'll pick a set up after work, order a Givi T218 rack and report on my success/failure in fitting both, maybe I'll even post pictures of them mounted on the bike. About £100 in for 60 litres of pannier storage including racks is too good a deal to pass up on!

Lomo Watersports, their main thing is things like wetsuits and bags for kayaking etc but they also do general outdoors, cycling and motorcycle kit. I think their bags are made of PVC so properly waterproof, they weld the seams instead of stitching them and then you just get a roll-down closure to prevent water ingress.

Here are the panniers I'm picking up:

I think in general their kit isn't as convenient/ergonomic as offerings from Givi/SW Motech etc but it's about half the price. Here's the full range of motorbike kit:

    Hi all,

I am having trouble finding out if any givi or kappa side racks are compatible with the OEM Honda top rack. The PLXR174 and KLXR174 hook onto the grab rails and don't need the givi/kappa top box rack; but, can they also be attached with the OEM top box rack???

It looks like some random picture I found on eBay for one of those racks seems to fit with the OEM rack - but is that actually a picture of the givi/kappa rack or is that a Honda OEM pannier rack on there?

    Many thanks,
