Will post a question about my (unusual) alternative choices separately, value feedback.

Hi in the end I just bought an NC750X from a nice chap who had a CBF1000 and an NC. He reckoned the NC was better all round and better than the CB cruising up to 80-90 but the CB obviously wins 2 up or if he wants to do 130mph. He was reducing his collection and decided to keep the CB but said he might end up swapping back.
Since Im going to be 1 up mainly around town I thought Id avoid the temptation for the extra power of the CB to get myself into trouble, for now

At the end of the day this forum is for those who love or have loved Biffers  as it's a great bike.
Well done for joining us and considering the cbf1000.
I'm sure you'll love the NC750X as it is also a great bike. It'll have many plus points and a few foibles like them all but you'll it. If not, you'll always be welcome back.

I'm sure we used to have unlimited time to modify a post but it seems that period is now 60 mins. But I may be wrong.
So, I'll add the missing word from my post above, here.

    ".....you'll love it".
