Hi All,

Just picked up my CBF1000FAC (on a 64 plate, 2015). Has the full Honda pannier and top box, and love the bike so far. Rode two up down to Devon with luggage last week and kept bottoming out on suspension and difficult on side stand (kept trying to fall over to the right !).

Have measured the seat height to 800mm on highest setting, so have plumped for the hagon mono shock with hydraulic preload adjuster to improve the ride and sag. Have added a rear hugger and am also looking at a MRA screen, are there any other mod's people recommend ?

What you have there is, most probably, a 2012 or 2013 SC64, easily checked by the VIN where the 4th to 7th digits indicate the model (SC58 or SC64) and the 10th digit indicates the year of manufacture where A=2010, B=2011, C=2012 and D=2013

Suspension - I don't carry a pillion and find the stock Showa rear shock just fine on setting 4/7, the front forks I found a little too soft, easily sorted by replacing the 10W fork oil for 15W.

In no particular order my other upgrades/additions include:

Front fender extender to minimise the road fling into the radiator.
Crash bungs, these can pay for themselves the first time the motorcycle goes over, mines been on its side at least four times.
A 12v socket, I carry a puncture repair kit (and know how to use it) so I need a means to power a 12v mini compressor, while you're there...
A 5v USB socket is handy to charge any mobile devices you carry around.
HID dip beam bulb and ballast, I live in rural parts and often ride unlit roads after dark so additional lighting is essential to upgrade the dim 55W H7 dip beam bulb.
A pair of spots or DRL's call them what you will, what they do is shine light into the darkness and light up the road ahead.
Seat covers, I've been known to spend in excess of 18 hours in the saddle (RBLR1000) so I have two...
An air filled seat cover that straps over the standard seat.
A mesh seat cover that straps over the air filled seat cover, neither is reassuringly expensive just cheap as chips £12 a pop fleaBay fare.
TomTom Rider and locking handlebar mount as a back up to my old school paper ways, useful to know the likes of how far I've gone, how far I've left to go.
A 120 mm windshield deflector extension, again nothing reassuringly expensive just another cheap as chips £12 fleeBay find.
Forward and rearward facing video cameras, I have the BlueSkySea DV988 unit with GPS, it does what it says on the box and at less than £100 was a bargain.

I've tried a few.
It has to be Pyramid. 100%.

My SC58 CBF1000 hugger is fibreglass and I think 'Skidmarx' brand, it extends 75 mm to 100 mm (3" or 4") further than the Pyramid hugger which I think is ABS.
