Hello from Stockport

Hi from Stockport. My main bike is a 2009 CBF1000A with 12000 miles on the clock. It had 7650 when I bought it three years ago. I'm also building up a 1978 Suzuki GT185.

What you have there is a SC58 CBF1000 A-9
A much overlooked Sports Tourer that ticks many boxes in its class. If you're allowed spanners a big plus for me is the ease in which it can be serviced and maintained at home by the home mechanic without the need of any special workshop tools or diagnostic equipment. If you’re allowed spanners and you haven't already, you may want to
download the Honda Workshop and Owners Manuals here
.
My first road bike was a 1970 Suzuki T250R Hustler, back when go go juice was 36p a gallon (8p a litre) happy days

I had a GT185 when I was 18. I make no apologies for rampant nostalgia. I do all my own spannering and only have a Haunes amnual. I'll look at the downloads.

Don't get to nostalgic about 70s 2 strokes! my GT380 leaks more oil than the Torrey canyon ,steers like a runaway camel and needs all four fingers on the front brake .
On the upside it kept me occupied during lock down
Riding the biffer will remind you of how far we have come in the intervening years
