Fork assembly

Hi, dismantled the forks on my CBF1000 to fit new seals. It is 2011 ABS. There is a short spring about 40mm and a spacer bush which fell into oil drum when I poured out the old oil. I have a manual but it is different setup than mine. Does the spring and bush go under piston of damper or above it. I did put it back with spring and the bush above piston and the long spring then spacer tube but I am having doubts if it is correct.

The joys of owning a pre-owned motorcycle, you never know what you're gonna get and if what you have is as the manufacturer intended. Reassembly is a reversal of... except some folks shouldn't be allowed spanners. Assuming what you have there is a SC64 the 40mm spring is the rebound spring and the spacer bush is probably the fork piston ring. Note a 2011 ABS model could be either a SC64 or SC58. You don't say what manual you're referencing but the  Honda Workshop Manual you can download here is clear enough to follow, SECTION 13 page 23 should be of particular interest.

It could be a mod some monkey boy has fitted or, the forks may not be stock or, the internals may not be stock.
