Yes, I could be interested if the bike is not too tall and has a seat height around 800mm.

Looks like the standard seat height is 820mm

It may be OK if it has a  seat that slopes a bit at the sides but the pillion is fashionably a lot higher than the riders seat. The new Suzuki S1000GT seems to bea bit  more like our Biffas to  me but the pillion seat again !! . I don't think my 5ft 3in wife would be able to get on it.

Disappointed at the fuel tank range/capacity. Didn't I read of a new Suzuki with a 30L fuel tank option, now that's a fuel tank.

Height and fuel tank issues apart which might be a problem for some, I think this'll be a welcome addition to the Honda range and indeed new bikes in general. The sport tourer in recent years has very much been on the wane with many being discontinued from the ranges of the big four manufacturers in favour of "adventure" bikes.

Performance-wise (100BHP or so), looks-wise and luggage capacity-wise, this does seem to be, dare I say it, a natural successor to a CBF1000. Maybe...

When changing motorcycles I go through the tick boxes, the likes, dislikes, not interested in and would be better withs. Then there's the big question "what does it offer that my SC58 doesn't"?

Likes - familiar looks, cruise control
Dislikes - 865mm wide (that's a real deal breaker for me, pannier laden motorcycles that are too wide to filter on our busy UK roads)
Not interested in - DCT automatic transmission, 6.5” TFT colour LCD dashboard, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto media, Bluetooth smartphone connection, five rider power modes, traction and wheelie control, quick shifter.
Would be better with - lighter kerb weight, longer (350+ miles) fuel tank range, comfort seat for long distance riding, slim line (max 700 mm wide) panniers

In conclusion it's not for me, certainly not worth 13,000 of my hard earned over what I already have in my trusty SC58 which remains perfectly serviceable with more miles left in it than I have motorcycling years left in me.

I do a similar thing when buying a bike. Or car for that matter. I make a list of possible candidates and my requirements. Look all the info up and discard those which don't fit the bill. Check prices, become knowledgeable about the models, trim levels and engine options.

Then I go into a showroom and say "Ooh I like that one" and before I know it, I've bought it.
