I foolishly thought that the roads would be quiet away from any petrol forcourt , HOW WRONG WAS I ?
A quick hoon into Wales was just like a bank holiday .
Caravans ,campers, dawdling classic cars and just for good measure big green tractors and harvesting machines.
On the plus side I have made it home before the rain

Sign of the times, it doesn’t matter where or when you venture out, it’s always busy.

I try to keep to the back country roads as far as possible which are surprisingly very quiet, especially during week days. Sometimes I can travel for a few miles without seeing a car, often more cyclists than vehicles.

I've done a couple of runs through the Cotswolds recently and there has been very little traffic..... Mainly because so many roads are closed for repairs you can only go to Swindon. Hooray! Let's all go to Swindon!

Might try again today , there is just enough blue in the sky to make a mans shirt and its dry.
Cross gates and Rhayder for coffee, quick spin up the dams and home in time for tea!!!
