NC750X It's one of those bikes that seems very popular with the older crowd.  I joined their forum and got several comments about my lowering the average age!  I'm 46!

It gets a rep for being slow, but in real terms, it's not that much slower.  The narrow rev range is probably the most restrictive.  But if you look at the torque curve it's all down low and runs out of grunt above 6000rpm, but at 4500rpm it's got the same torque to cc ratio as the biffer.  69Nm torque at 4750rpm.  Power however is lower due to the narrow rev range.  Compared to the biffer it has 3/4 the torque for the CC but 2 3rd the horse power for the CC, 58.8bhp.  Also remember it weighs about 40kg less than the biffer.

So no, it won't win any races and you end up shifting like you have a termor in your foot to get up and go, but it still pulls, makes you lean in or you'll wheelie in first.

It will take some time to get used to the throb of the parallel twin over the super smooth inline 4.
