Not sure I understand the question. If you mean the stator what would you upgrade it to, any excess produced will only be dumped by the regulator. If you mean the regulator/rectifier again little point since the stock MOSFET unit is very reliable. If you're looking for a recommendation on a replacement stator for my two penneth you can't do any better than a direct fit ElectroSport stator which is what I replaced mine with 5 years ago, they seem to produce a modest 40vAC per phase which is more than enough for any CBF. You don't give any indication if yours is a SC58 or SC64 so here are fleabay links to both from M&P, a reputable supplier in Welsh Wales.

direct fit SC58 CBF1000 stator

direct fit SC64 CBF1000 stator

That said if I was fitting another stator to mine I'd be tempted with one of the sub 50 stators post free from China.

Thanks for your input ART. I have bought one from 'Electrex World Ltd'. They do their own windings inhouse, so I will see how this one goes on. Next day delivery 124... :720: I was waiting for 8 and a half hours for the RAC breakdown to arrive on thursday :005:

Hi Everybody,

Does somebody knows how many Volts is the charging voltage in the SC64? (and which RPM)

Thanks a lot,
Mark

It will vary from mo'cycle to m'cycle, multimeter to multimeter and connection to connection. Assuming you mean vDC output from the regulator rectifier as measured across the battery terminals expect an average of 14.2v at 2,500 to 5,000 RPM. The Honda specified service limit is greater than 13.2v to less than than 15.5v at 1,200 RPM to 5,000 RPM.

Thank you very much. So mine is looks good, because it is 13,7 V on idle when I measure it on the battery terminals.

There's a little more to it than that. To properly test the charging system you need to take two readings, one at 1,200 RPM and another at 5,000 RPM. As per the Honda specification expect greater than 13.2v at 1,200 RPM and less than 15.5v at 5,000 RPM.
