Engine paint
on: 19 May, 2021, 10:00:47 PM
Greetings from a new member.
Anyone know if there is a decent match for the silver engine paint on the Mk 1 model?
I have a 14 plate Mk 1 GT that I got late last year. It has the lower fairing panels, but taking them off to do some maintenance revealed a lot of flaking paint on the engine. No doubt the lack of a decent front mudguard had not helped - that was soon fixed with a decent extension.

Hey Emmel -  14 plate Mk 1.. good find. I've 13 plate Mk II. not sure of a specific paint to suit the silver engine of the Mk1 but a recent restoration of a Vmax saw me using an Engine paint from Halfords (gloss black) engine specific. You may be able to get one mixed up at a good spray shop.

sorry not much help
