yes,it did have those symptoms when i purchased the bike a couple of weeks ago.as i said earlier,i have booked the bike in to be looked at.

If the seller was a dealer you should return it to them for repair, they have a responsibility to sell you a roadworthy vehicle. I'm assuming since you're replacing the drive chain so soon that's not the case and it was a private sale. I'd still contact the seller for comment especially if the condition of the motorcycle doesn't match the advertised description.

point taken.it was a private sale,and i got the bike for a reasonable price.i do wonder how it got through the mot though.(march 2021}. anyway,i have purchased enough vehicles in the past to realize there will always be a hidden gremlin or two.

So where do you think the sound might be coming front ?

A gremlin or two, maybe - nothing that can't be fixed even if you're not allowed to do it yourself.

pretty sure it's the front brakes.there is a thread on here somewhere where other riders have mentioned a similar noise.
