For my two penneth I wouldn't dream of carrying a spare stator or any other spare parts for that matter.

Up in the scottish highlands it`s pretty bleak Art  last year my friends bandit fell over and broke the clutch lever  It too a 120 mile ride to a back street trike builder to get a second hand lever to get home with I just don`t want to find myself stranded up there  :159:

Fair enough, just noticed you're in Leeds.

Shoreditch - Leeds - Berwick upon Tweed - Wick - Ft William - Manchester - Leeds - Shoreditch is a weekend ride for me most years around mid June. Its the RBLR 1000 mile ride out from Squires. The most I carry apart from the onboard tool kit is a squirt of chain lube. The only time I never made it back was 2014 when the Bonne' got written off, no amount of spares would have helped in that situation :003:

You ever done or fancied the RBLR1000?

I had a spare Rotor which I lent out to anybody who wanted to insure themselves when touring. However it is now fitted permanently to my (sons???) bike (he hasn't paid for it so far......) :110:

So if someone has a spare rotor, why not offer it to Paul.Chucky so long as they paid postage, or paid for it if it was used? It worked for me! (Oh I forgot, my son hasn't paid for it......) :138:

I can heartily recommend doing the RBLR1000 at least once.

Did it a few years back with my wife on the back of my 929 Fireblade.  Left Squires in the rain and it didn't stop until the other side of Inverness (we took the clockwise route).  Ended up nipping into the Tesco at Wick and buying a new t-shirt & hoody as I was soaked.

5 minutes after we got back to Squires a guy pulled in behind us on a 90cc Suzuki moped (similar to the C90) looking fresh as a daisy and a lot more comfy than we were!

Absolutely awesome event with a great bunch of like minded lunatics, been wanting to do it again ever since but various circumstances have repeatedly got in the way.

Hello to everybody
Just replaced my stator at 27.000 KM.
Has anyone connected the damage with alternator damage?
Maybe the Alternator ruins the stator.
