    New Fork Dust Seals

Recently changed the fork oil at 20,000 miles on my 2009 Mk1, the original oil was dark brown but not as bad as I expected. I noticed that the dust seals had numerous tiny splits around the edges next to the forks meaning that the required tight seal was lost and could allow water and dirt to enter the gap inbetween the dust seal and oil seal. I ordered a pair of new dust seals, which also included the oil seals, for £14.99(including delivery)bargain! from MotoFactory at Wrexham. I was delighted with the quality of the seals supplied and with the help of some red rubber grease the dust seals were easily fitted. The original oil seals looked fine with no sign of any leaks but Ive now got spares ready when they are eventually required. The new dust seals are better than the originals as they have double sealing rings.
