Hi
   anyone out there with knowledge of ignition switches ?  my 2009 cbf was stolen and was found by the police near where I live.  the thieves had put the bike on the side and broke of the bottom of the ignition unit to get to the wires . They also got to the hiss sender . The information I'm after is if I purchase a ignition switch and hiss sender of eBay could I cannibalise them and repair original unit?

The HISS sender is literally just there to provide a link to the ECU so if you're still using a key that's coded to your bike/ECU then you should be fine.

Having said that, if you're getting a new ignition barrel then you'll likely be having new keys, you'll need a key that's already coded to your ECU to be able to code the new ones to it and it might take a bit of fiddling around.  There's should be plenty of articles around on how to code new keys.
