Brake Maintanance

Hello to everyone

I bought my cbf1000/2006 on january2020 with 19.000 KM. Everything ok, until now.

As I want everything to be perfect and as riding is off limit thanks to Covid, I decided to maintain Brake Calibers.

The result was amazing. I have a new bike, more powerful and vivid.

That means of course, that calibers was not in a good condition.

I changed the parts  45133MA3006 and  45132166016 , after cleaning everything and adding new silicon grease.

I did it myself , it is not a difficult job. The rear is more difficult, as it has to remove to wheel

It is possible to remove the rear caliper without removing the rear wheel.
There are some old posts on the forum to help explain how to achieve this.
Worth reading for next time you want to do some caliper maintenance.

I found my slider pins to be dry when I pulled them off after buying the CBF, it causes the brake pads to stick against the discs and slows it down, reducing power and increasing fuel consumption.
