I used some stainless steel scourers, very cheap and reusable, probably best using with a dust mask. They’re also good for removing rust from other parts of the bike. For more heavy duty stuff like the edges of the rear brake disc, use a brass brush fixed to a drill, and don’t forget the safety glasses. Also might be worth giving the downpipes a dose of ACF50 to tackle corrosion.

I used brasso on my Trophy silencer.. came up ace.. will give that a try.

Optiglanz is pretty good at removing heat staining. From pots & pans as well. Nips the fingers so probably caustic. use in small doses.
Full luggage, Metzeler Z8s (lots of tread left but squared off after 5k miles).
