Surely any such rubber cover would allow water to sit between the rubber and the stand, accelerating corrosion?

I know what you mean I could maybe paint the foot of the stand with hammerite paint or similar, looks like I may have to put on my bike boots when I'm going to put the bike on the centre stand no big deal when going out on the bike but a bit of a faff just to clean it , I clean my bike a lot!!
