Hi from North Wales!
« on: 25 July, 2020, 07:16:34 PM »
Hi folks,

Well, I've been browsing around this place for a few weeks now so I though I'd introduce myself.

I'm Phil from North Wales and the recent new owner of a 2008 CBF1000.

Only had it a few weeks so haven't managed to do much more than a few hundred miles on it so far.  But I have been spending a lot of time on here trying to figure out ways to upgrade or personalise it.  Unfortunately the previous owner added all the sensible stuff so pretty much every time I've thought of something I've realised it's already been done!

Fitted to it already:
LED side lights
Radiator protector
Honda heated grips
Hyperpro suspension (front springs and rear shock with remote preload)
Denali Soundbomb Mini horn
Voltage monitor
Scottoiler
Full Honda luggage

All I've managed to add so far is a set of levers and a gear indicator (AliExpress, about £13 and worked a treat)!  Oh, and I bought a TomTom 550 to go with it!

Have to admit that I'm enjoying riding it having owned only sports bikes previously (still got my 929 Fireblade) but really looking forward to putting some miles on it.

Some on here may already know me (Alan Sh for a start) as I'm currently the webmaster for the Honda Owners Club (GB).

Hope to get to know others before long.

Cheers,

Phil

The SC58 CBF 1000 is an excellent choice in the sports tourer class

Great for riding around Wales, especially the North, without endangering the licence too much.
Sitting more upright you certainly can appreciate the scenery.
Maybe see you out there.   :028:
