Fuel pump/fuel filter
« on: 16 June, 2020, 05:08:31 PM »
Wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a new fuel filter. I can't seem to find one anywhere and I can't justify a 1000 dollar fuel pump over a fuel filter. Someone on here have one for sale?

Have a look on e bay for KEMSO Fuel pump for a Honda cbf1000. Around £30 Sterling.
Hope this helps.
As far as I know the filter is not replaceable on the standard oem fuel pump.

I have already replaced pump but still fail fuel flow test which has led me to believe the filter is plugged up. From hours of research, it would seem a cb1100 shares the same fuel filter ( 16011-mgc-010) however the part is on back order everywhere I've contacted. I've contacted companies in the states as well as all over Europe. Bike runs ok up till about 6k and seems to run out of fuel. Getting 100ml on fuel flow test so I know I have issues. Looks like I'm eating a 1000$ bill for a new pump assembly... :172:

Any good for you? Pump & filter £60.00 or $102 Canadian dollars.
I've fitted two of these, one to a Biffer, the other to a Blackbird. Both absolutely fine & no issues.

Also good practice to replace the rubber gasket between pump and tank while you're in there. Use the old gasket at your own risk. (Gasket part number 17574MFAD00 which is also referred to as the 'packing base').

I have replaced fuel pump already with the quantum fuel pump. And the prefilter for the pump. I'm looking for the part that houses the regulator and filter. I have a new packing for existing pump already.

:084: You didn't actually say that in your first two posts.

" From hours of research, it would seem a cb1100 shares the same fuel filter ( 16011-mgc-010)"

However, i did give a part number for part I am seeking.

You're asking for a fuel filter here.

Oh, my apologies, I (incorrectly) assumed the part number you posted was for a CB1100 fuel filter.  " cb1100 shares the same fuel filter ( 16011-mgc-010)" - as you didn't mention that the part number you gave is actually an assembly.

The part number you gave, fits 13 bike models, is easily available in Europe, approx $580 dollars inc shipping to Canada.

I'd be inclined to go to a breakers yard, much cheaper.
