Silver Paint colours
« on: 20 May, 2020, 01:36:46 PM »
Hello
Just a quick enquiry please:
I have a Mk1 in Quasar Silver Metallic.
I’m trying to locate a second hand matching top box and lower fairings (to avoid the additional costs of re-painting to match the bike and Panniers recently purchased)
Was it Sword Silver Metallic used on Mk 2?
Stupid question maybe (Apologies) but is there a world of difference between the two ‘in daylight’? Noticeably different?
Many thanks for your input.
Regards
Riverman

They are different, by a good margin.  Whether that matters to you (or anyone) is rather subjective.  You'd get away with a top box more than lowers - that said, OE mkII lowers weren't coloured !

My gallery has an sword metallic in it - how you'd compare I don't know.
Only do it right - no bodging please.   Keeper of the failed stator list.   John.
