Final drive oil seal
« on: 30 April, 2020, 04:53:27 PM »
Anyone had to change the oil seal for the final drive?
My old girl is slightly losing (next to nothing) a bit of oil. I would like to add that it literally hasn't come off the full mark in the last 6k. It leaves 2 or 3 small drops on the floor after a run, no more than that. I don't know whether to leave it till I next service it and see if it worsens or bite the bullet and get the bits and change the seal and bearing. I know it's not under pressure or much pressure so should be fine.
Has anyone had the issue of it starting to leak/weap and just going completely all of a sudden?
What's your guys thoughts and advice?

Its an oil leak and a no brainer, it needs to be sorted and it needs to be sorted ASAP.
