O2 Sensor of 2006 is the same with 2011

Hello to all
i am thinking of changing exhausts from 4 in 2 which i have now (2006) to 4 in 1 of the newer model.

I see than O2 sensor has different part number.
Is it really different?

36531MFAD01 vs 36531MGJD01

Has anyone done this replacement ?

i tried to do the same but i was unprepared and gave up.

You have 2 options
Get a used 4 in 1 from the newer model. But needs modification to fit. Also new o2 sensor or o2 eliminator.
Get am aftermarket 4 in 1 , but i am not sure if you can find one. If you do , let me know.

I would like to get rid of the catalyst and the only option is a hand made exhaust.

If I was a gambling man I'd wager the only difference between one lambda sensor and the other is the length of the wiring. Both the SC58 and SC64 have 4 wire lambda sensors with the same wiring connections

Loom                       Sensor
Green/orange           Grey (ground)
Orange/white            Black (signal)
Black/white              White (heater)
Black/green              White (heater)

The grey, black,white,white wiring of the sensor is generic across virtually all 4 wire lambda sensors. All of which probably means that splicing the connector wiring of one sensor into the other to extend the wiring length will modify one to fit the other. Disclaimer - At your own risk, I'm not a gambling man, blah, blah, blah.

Indeed thats what I found, the lambda sensor thread sizes are different, and the cables are different lengths with different plugs, you can cut and join the original cable on to the newer one's cable as I have done, though I also have the option to fit an eliminator plug that I bought just in case.
