Bike Covers
« on: 11 March, 2020, 10:48:58 AM »
Can anyone point me in the direction of a GOOD bike cover for my Biffer please, with or without the top box, and covers the whole bike, not leaving a bit stuck out at either end, what size am I looking at, please??
A newbie to the Biffer, owned a Bird for 19 years, and looking forward to long term ownership of my CBF!!

Oxford Umbratex for out and about (extra large):

Oxford Stormex for at home (extra large):

IIRC when I ordered the stormex one it was the same price as the large so shop around.

Don't forget covering a wet bike outside with the engine still being warm encourages damp etc. Unavoidable sometimes but worth keeping in mind when venting comes into place.

Lidl do the best cheap bike covers I've ever purchased for about £10, but would probably be luck of the draw as to when they sell them.

Not sure how you'd grade 'good but I use a cheap as chips (£7.50) XL cover I got off eBay for my Bonne' it fits the CBF but only without the top box. My idea was just to use it as a dust cover in the garage but over the last 10 years its been on and off the Bonne' and the CBF including a whole year outdoors. They're cheap, lightweight, easy to throw on and off and if needs must they fold down really small to carry around. Mine had chain loops, underside bungee cord, and vents. Sadly it will not go over a top box.

However, this one at £8.59 and measuring 245x105x125cm looks as if its worth a punt and it looks like it'll go over a top box too.
