Well it's about time to swap the tyres on my Mk1. It's got Michelin Pilot Road 2s on at present and they've been good. So maybe I'll go with the 5s now. But by heck they're not the cheapest by a long way.

No they aren't but they transformed the cornering and handling of my Mk1. Highly recommend the Michelin Road 5s.

I agree! Wet grip is exceptional and they last longer than PR3/4s. As I've said before, in the dry ANY modern tyre exceeds my ability, but in the wet I'm nearer the limit so if I get it wrong (we all do!) I've got a greater safety margin. :028:

I bought a motorcycle with Pirelli Diablo Rosso II mounted, I'm still satisfied, I don't have a lot of mileage, but they hold up well in the dry, I haven't ridden in the rain yet.

A set of Bridgestone T32 with balancing beads completely changed my bike's road feel and grip. I would buy these again.

Just picked up my CBF on Saturday and it's come with some Metzeler Roadtec 01s with a decent amount of tread left. Looks like the previous owner got them right to the edge so seems like they're pretty capable, I've only ridden ~100 miles on them and mostly in the wet, no complaints thus far! I just tend to weigh up Michelin vs Bridgestone when I buy new tyres just to keep things simple so it's nice to get a go of another brand, not sure I'd actually pay the premium for these vs BT023/T31s though.

+1 Bridgestone BTO-23's

Excellent wet or dry road tyres at a decent price and they're good on mileage too, sure they square off a little but that's to be expected when you run them down to 2mm of tread. if a picture speaks a thousand words...

Fitted road pilot 4's a year ago and after 12k miles, 1.5mm left on rear tyre. Front still has 2.4mm
Not squared off due to lots of flowing twisties.

Was that happy with them I have just put another on the rear.

would be interested in knowing how the RP 5's perform once tread down half way or more . . . regarding the tyre pattern change as it wears.

Take care.
