    U lock

I can see that this may have been mentioned a few years ago, but has anyone purchased recently, or know of a u lock that fits in the Honda rear carrier other than a Honda type. I have an idea of the size that will fit, but wondered if one could be recommended. Thanks.

Picture of O.E.M lock from CMSNL:

That's an awfully long shackle, and overly long if I'm honest; but what that does mean is that you'd be able to fit a much smaller, and therefore more useable one, without trouble.

In regards to what one I'd recommend: https://securityforbikes.com/proddetail.php?prod=DIB

If you have a Honda top box there is a 'U' lock holder in the carrier. I found one (not Honda) which fitted, but it went with my CBF so can't help with the make! (take a few measurements and I'm sure you'll find a U lock considerably cheaper that the Honda version.)

Only the older top box carriers have the facility to carry a U-lock.  :028:

Thanks for the replies, I have a 09 CBF1000, which takes a U lock in the rear rack. I have taken measurements and will keep looking. Not urgent. Just wanted a make to look at.
One mentioned in a reply looks good, however don’t think it will fit as it is too small, even the larger size.
    Thanks again.
