New owner saying hi
« on: 16 September, 2019, 02:16:29 PM »
Hi all - Just picked up a 2006 CBF1000 thats not run for 2 years - symptoms were bike breaks down when hot and previous owner just left it in his garage. As it was in the way he just wanted it gone. 2 years of standing and I'm amazed at the bikes condition, I'm sure if I'd left my Harley in that garage it would have been in a terrible mess after a few months, testament to Honda build quality. So the plan is new battery, stator, tyres, handlebars, chain and sprockets and fingers crossed all will be good. Tank has some corrosion but hoping Rostio will do the trick. Now going to spend some time reading the threads to educate myself on all things CBF1000.

Welcome from Canada.

This site is a treasure trove of good info.
Old enough to have seen it all, heard it all, done it all. Just can't remember it all.
