Thanks for posting this, Andy! This is my story that I posted on advrider. I wasn't sure what the protocol was about cross-posting reports from other sites so haven't posted it here yet. You've saved me the trouble.
As I wrote in that report, I was a bit worried about the stator and regulator issues, but the CBF ran flawlessly the whole way.
My son thought the pillion seat was too hard so I had a gel insert put in it and it turned out great.
Love the biffer and looking forward to more long trips!

Many thanks for your ride report, it was a really interesting read with some great photos !
What also made your report stand out against the rest was your bike, so much more interesting than the usual BMW GS with thousands of pounds/dollars spent on panniers, spotlights etc.

Great read and thanks for writing this sort of trip up. Glad you had a good time and reading this sort of thread is really inspiring at this time of year when we are busy with other stuff but plottin our own trips away come the new year!!
